Double Matte Effect – Part 2 – Creating the Double Matte Look

Hi, I’m Kirsty Meakin from Naio Nails. In
this video, I’m going to show you how to do a double matte effect in a looped design. Now, using the Mega Gloss Sealer Gel, pop some onto some foil. It’s a nice and thick consistency and this is what’s going to help us do this design. Take a detailing brush,
go into the gel, then we’re literally going to draw with it. You can pop the lid underneath,
then we’re just going to shake over with some acrylic powder. Then you can put the pot underneath. And shake some more over. Let that absorb the powder, which will give it the colour. Where it looks too wet still, you can go over it with more powder. And then we’re going
to pop that into the lamp. Same again. This is really easy, but
really effective. It looks really cool. Just little loops. So just keep sprinkling on until it absorbs some of the
powder and it doesn’t look wet anymore. So make sure the nail is over the pot or over
the lid, because then it can catch the rest of the powder. Put that into the lamp for me. Now dust off the excess, and it’s the powder that’s going to colour this obviously you can choose any colour you want. But we’re keeping with the theme and the colours. Let
it absorb the powder. So we get rid of all the excess acrylic powder with that on there and then I’m going to get a slightly thinner brush, and do these one at a time. We’ve got
Diamonds Are Forever acrylic powder here. And we’re going to go straight in the middle
of some of these loops. Into the lamp. So I’ve just dusted that off. We are quite shimmery
and glittery. I’ll tell you what, I might put this on my face afterwards!
